Unfortunately, some times there is only enough time to experience a handful or so attractions. If that is the case for your first visit may we suggest these attractions as a place to get started. For more information about these attractions click on the name to take you to Disney's official page.

  1. Haunted Mansion: We felt we had to pick a clear number one attraction, but both Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion would make excellent picks for the number one spot. Haunted Mansion like Pirates is one of those rides that you just can not get enough of. Like many Disney attractions there are so many details to experience, that it never gets old. This ride is also great for the whole family, from little kids to all of us adult sized kids. The ride is not very scary so many of the little ones love it as well. This is also one of those rides that are a nice break in the day and a break from the heat in the warm months.

  2. Pirates of the Caribbean: A classic ride and one that Walt Disney himself had a hand in developing. Like the Haunted mansion it's a "Dark Ride", but guests are whisked along the attraction in boats and even has a small drop. If you are a fan of the movies, you will get a kick out of this attraction. For many people the attraction was so well loved that it spawned the franchise of four movies with a rumored fifth on the way. Pirates is also loaded with unique details and is also another ride more most ages. This is also another one of those attractions this is air conditioned and is great night and day.

  3. Tommorrowland Transit Authority People Mover: This attraction makes our list because it really allows guests the opportunity to soak in almost all of Tommorrowland in a very unique way. People mover is a series of carts that move guests all over Tomorrowland, even taking you inside some attractions (Space Mountain and others) allowing you to get a much different view then you get waiting in line or on the rides and attractions themselves. It's also a great way to take a load off your feet and relax a little while you take in the sights and sounds of the park.

  4. Space Mountain: Space Mountain makes our list because it's still one of the best roller coasters on Disney properties. While this attraction does have height restrictions it still is open to most members of the family and is a fun treat for those looking for something a little more fast paced. it's definitely a must do for those seeking some park thrills.

  5. Jungle Cruise: This attraction is just so unique and corny that it makes it a blast to hit every trip. You and your group are escorted through a Disney jungle on a boat with a comedian skipper. The props are corny and the jokes are even cornier, but for many we could not imagine a trip to the Magic Kingdom without one trip through this jungle.

  6. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: This is one of Disney's fastest trains on Disney property and another fun roller coaster for most of the family. Again this coaster does have height restrictions, but most of the family will be able to ride and will have a great time. Almost all of Disney's roller coasters are pretty tame, so while they may not be a hit for major thrill seekers they are definitely family friendly.

  7. Walt Disney World Railroad: There is no better way to start your day at Magic Kingdom then to take a trip around the entire park on one of Walt Disney's favorite modes of transportation. With the main street train station located at the front of the park and two other train stations located toward the sides of the park, this is not only a great way to sit back and relax for a trip around the whole park, it's also a great way to criss cross the park to get to your favorite attraction.
